Taste Bud Tours

• Seasonal Roadside Stall Visit – as seasonal produce becomes available our tour will visit selected roadside stalls to sample fresh produce direct from the growers.
• Harvest Calendar – (Dec – Feb) – currently in seasonApricots, Corn, Figs, Grapes, Honey Dew Melon, Mangoes, Nectarines, Valencia Oranges, Passionfruit, Peaches, Peas, Plums, Rockmelon, Avocados, Cherry Tomatoes, Tomatoes,  Watermelons, and Olives. Guests are currently sampling fresh juicy grapes, rockmelon, watermelon and luscious mango slices.
• Start your afternoon with a visit to exciting Yahava Koffee Works to sample coffees from around the world, as well as refreshing Iced Coffee and Chai Latte. Witness roasting, blending and grinding of fresh coffee beans. Sample chocolate coated coffee beans and koffee toffee.

• Visit Cape Lavender to sample unique lavender infused scones, jam, cream and refreshing tea. Taste the range of lavender oils, jams, and honey, as well as unique lavender wines. Browse the sensuous gift shop. Take the opportunity to sample freshly roasted cashews, hazelnuts and almonds at adjoining Mago Coffee.  Weekend Special - sample rich Italian Hot Chocolate shot … yum!!

• Our tour continues with an assault on the Margaret River Chocolate Company for generous chocolate tasting

• Visit Swan Valley’s famous Mondo Nougat for sampling. Also available an extensive range of honey roasted, hot & spicy and natural Macadamia and Cashew nuts.

• Our tour visits multi award winning Jarrah Ridge Winery – sample Swan Valley’s finest wines, West Australian cheese, dried fruits, fruit paste and local marinated olives. Wine styles include Viognier, Verdelho, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Marginata Chenin Blanc, Marginata Classic White, Milly Milly Shiraz, Marginata Classic Red, Marginata Rose and Zinfandel.

• Exciting new taste sensations at Jarrah Ridge Wines – New Zealand’s famous Barker’s Lemon Curd, Passionfruit Curd and Apricot Jams, as well as extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar and dukkah combinations.

• The House of Honey provides an opportunity to meet the bee-keeper, Rupert, and taste an extensive range of natural unheated liquid and comb honey, sparkling honey water and honey boiled sweets. On display is a live observation hive where you can see bees at work.

• Our tour concludes with an icy cold beer, ginger beer or cider at multi internationally award winning Ironbark Brewery (boasting the largest range of beers in the Valley – 43 at the last count!!). Ironbark Brewery also provides an opportunity for guests to take home one of their popular six-packs. Our “speed grazing” has slowed to a leisurely “kick back” and an opportunity to try one of Ironbark Brewery’s famous “Wood Fired Pizzas” before heading homeward. On weekends guests will also enjoy live music.

Tours Operate:

Daily Wednesday to Sunday and public holidays – except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Anzac Day (morning only) and Good Friday.

You may wish to book either of our half day tasting trails as a Private Tour.

Minimum rate: $850 plus “door to door” service (FREE within 10 kms of Guildford, the Gateway to the Swan Valley, then $2 per km)
