Artisans of the Valley

 With over 36 galleries located within the greater Swan Valley, it’s little wonder lover’s of quality art feel right at home in the region. 

It’s not unusual to find the resident artist serving coffee and cake whilst chatting to curious visitors. 

The scope and range of Arts and Crafts, Galleries and Workshops provide an intriguing canvas on which to base this insightful tour.

Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery -

Original and authentic Aboriginal art.  Specialising in art of the South West. Enjoy a display of fabulous contemporary works by Primus Ugle, Naomi Grant, Greg Flahey, Phil Narkle, Peter Farmer and more.  Exquisite hand-crafted jewellery and distinctly different hand-painted glassware and gifts. 

 

The Village Gallery

Original art and mesh sculptures by Mal Craig, with works by other artists from the Swan Valley and adjoining areas.  Specialising in unique Australian bark paintings. 

Workshops and demonstrations on pastel medium throughout the year.

 

Battistessa Studio

The Battistessa Studio – as the Wizard of Fire, forger of dreams, spellcaster to the imagination, produces large and small sculptures, artistic furniture, architectual pieces, spiritual pieces … and much more.

Paul Dowe & Partners Gallery

Gallery features  photographic, fine art prints, canvas prints and limited editions of Western Australia.  Each image is lovingly captured by well known West Australian photographer Paul Dowe. 

Artra Gallery

Artra specialises in Fine Art and hand crafted jarrah furniture. For over 40 years Artra has been at the forefront of Western Australian handcrafted Jarrah furniture.  With its unique design and quality craftsmaship the pieces are exclusive and timeless.  Stocking fine art from local and interstate artists.

 

 

Taylors Art & Coffee House

Situated in what was once the Taylors family home, this gallery and coffee house features a gourmet cafe, fine arts gallery and rustic theatre venue, set within the ambient gardens.  Resident artist – nationally and internationally renowned – Jude Taylor.

 

Whiteman Park Pottery

Operating for over twenty years, The Pottery at Whiteman Park is the place to find that special piece for someone special, or treat yourself from a wide variety of functional and decorative handcrafted pottery by local artists.

Complimentary pick up/drop off within 20 kms of Guildford, Gateway to the Swan Valley.  Pick up locations outside this radius  - a reasonable $2 pk.
