Swan Valley Region
The Swan Valley is considered to be the oldedest and most awarded wine region in Western Australia. In fact we’ve been growing grapes longer than any other region in Australia.
It’s Gateway, the historic town of Guildford, is situated just a short 13 kms from the CBD, making Perth the only capital city in the world to have it’s premier wine region located so close……Vienna in the northern hemisphere comes in a close second.
From Guildford a 32 km loop stretches via West Swan Road on the west side of the Swan River, down Great Northern Highway on the east side the River, through Midland and back to Guildford.
More commonly recognised as the award winning Swan Valley “Food & Wine Trail” this compact region, only minutes from Perth, offers visitors more than 180 years of heritage and viticulture.
A rich tapetry of restaurants, cafes, wineries, breweries, distilleries, seasonal roadside stalls, accommodation, art galleries, tour operators, heritage, wildlife and family attractions awaits the visitor.
Fine wine, great food and a friendly welcome, just 25 minutes from Perth City – no wonder the Swan Valley is known as Perth’s Valley of Taste.
